The long weekend marks the unofficial end of summer. Luckily, there are lots of fun events happening around the Niagara Region for the whole family to enjoy. Check out what’s going on over the Labour Day weekend:

Niagara Greek Festival

Experience the Niagara Greek Festival right here in St. Catharines. From September 1-4, 2023 at the Greek Orthodox Church, take part in a true Greek celebration with incredible traditional music and dances like the Kalamatiano, Tsamiko, and Zeimbekiko. Don’t forget to shop the Agora Marketplace and try out some delicious food too. This family-friendly event is free to attend. The Festival runs from 3:00-8:00 PM all weekend and features live music, performances, a Kids Zone, and more.

Marshville Heritage Festival

From September 2-4, 2023, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, experience the Marshville Heritage Festival located in Wainfleet. This all-ages Festival will transport you to the 19th century featuring an antique farm area with horse-drawn equipment, a vintage car show, hands-on demonstrations and crafters, live entertainment, horse and wagon rides, and finishes off with a Concert in the Park on Sunday evening. Kids under 10 years are free and tickets can be purchased at the door (Adults $8.00 and Seniors on Saturday for only $7.00).

Merritton Lion’s Community Days Festival

The Merritton Lions Club Labour Day Carnival is back from September 1-4, 2023 in St. Catharines. The annual Community Days Festival features live music, midway rides, games, local vendors, a beer and wine garden, entertainment, fireworks, prizes to be won, and the 77th Annual Labour Day Parade to celebrate the end of summer.
