With over 350 acres of luscious parks and one of the finest rose gardens in the country, Weiland is referred to as The Rose City. The Canal is also home to the world-rated, Weiland International Flatwater Centre that occupies 411 acres of parkland and 272 acres of water. Located in the heart of the city is a peaceful hideaway, Merritt Island. This outdoor paradise is a perfect daytime escape and has natural trails that span the Welland Recreation Corridor.
