June 2019 Summer skies and fun are finally here as festival season kicks into high gear. This month Destination Niagara Falls looks at two incredible festivals that have been raising money for the community and bringing families together for years now: Father's Day Rotary Ribfest and Strawberry Festival N-O-T-L. 15 years of Father's Day Tradition Celebrate Father's Day with good food, music, and family fun at the 15th annual Niagara Falls Ribfest Photograph by Dave Demoe ENTRANCE IS FREE! Parking and live entertainment are free all weekend! Admission is by donation, with 100% of the proceeds raised from the event going back into supporting the community. To date, Niagara Falls Rotary Ribfest has raised over $450,000, which has been used to support community organizations and the important work they do.

When is the best time to visit for fewer crowds?

Weekday mornings outside peak summer and holiday weekends are typically quieter. Shoulder seasons (late spring and early fall) balance weather and crowd levels.

Do I need a passport to cross the border for viewpoints?

Crossing between Canada and the United States requires valid travel documents. Many experiences stay on one side—check your itinerary before you go.

Are the trails and gorge viewpoints family-friendly?

Many paths are accessible with proper footwear, but some gorge routes include stairs and uneven stone. Review trail notes and posted advisories before heading out.
