Rodman Art Institute of Niagara was first formed as Rodman Hall Art Centre, Inc. in 2019.
Our work is built upon the work of many community and business leaders, art appreciators, arts professionals, and art educators who have and continue to contribute to the cultivation of new stakeholders, establishment of governance structures, and examination of options for a new public art gallery. The Rodman board of directors welcome the engagement of the whole community in this ongoing and exciting work.
Rodman Art Institute of Niagara builds upon Rodman Hall Art Centre’s record over the past six decades of innovation and excellence in presenting hundreds of memorable art exhibits, public events and education programs.
With this legacy as our model, Rodman’s core mission is to:
- care for and share the community’s extraordinary 1000-piece art collection and continue to present creative and deeply engaging visual arts exhibits, events, and classes
- build community vision, capacity and means to sustain a new public art gallery
- collaborate with individuals, governments, institutions, and private-sector partners to create new arts infrastructure and support ambitious programs and activities.
