The wonder we call home is about to change colour. Not quite yet, though.

First, Niagara gives summer a proper send-off. There is salsa on the Parkway, harvest getting under way in the vineyards, art after dark, and theatre closing out its season. The buses thin out, the patios stay open, and the region gets on with its real work, which is bringing in the grapes.

These are our favourite few weeks of the year here, and the ones visitors most often tell us they wish they had known about sooner.
