If you’re planning a visit to Niagara in July, you’re in for a treat! The region is always bustling come summer with festivals, concerts, markets, events and for the foodies in your family, delicious supper markets. Every day in July, you’ll find something that’s sure to fit the bill. Why not bring your brood to Niagara Falls for a night to enjoy the Coca-Cola Concert Series, and cap your evening off with a stunning display of Canada’s longest running fireworks, hosted by Niagara Parks? And don’t forget to swing by the Floral Showhouse – their gorgeous tropical summer display is in full bloom right now.

There are also a bunch of summer festivals happening throughout the region, each of them with their own unique draw. Mark your calendars for the weekend of July 8 and 9 and explore the streets of the historic Village of Ridgeway for that community’s Summer Festival, which caps a week-long spree of events and activities in the downtown core. Pelham Summerfest comes to downtown Fonthill in mid-July, and the vintage collector in your family will be in heaven at Welland’s Antique & Artisan Market, held at that city’s Farmers Market every Sunday until September 3, excluding August 13.

If you love being on the water, you’ll look forward to July 30, when the Welland FloatFest brings hundreds of people to the Welland Recreational Canal. Grab your favourite inflatable and help turn the waterway into a lazy canal. This year, participants aim to set a Guinness World Record for Longest Line of Water Inflatables. And looking ahead, don’t forget to book your accommodations for the first weekend of August, the world’s eyes are on St. Catharines as the rowing community comes to Henley Island to celebrate the 135th Royal Canadian Henley Regatta – the top amateur rowing event in North America that runs from August 6 to 13.

Canada continues to celebrate its sesquicentennial with Canada 150 events. Find out what’s happening in Niagara here and here
