Niagara Icewine Festival:

The annual Niagara Icewine Festival returns for three weekends this January in Niagara! Featuring exclusive winery and culinary events, the Cool As Ice Gala (formerly, the Niagara Icewine Gala), and more, the Niagara Icewine Festival runs from January 13 until January 29, 2023. The Cool as Ice Gala will celebrate and showcase Ontario’s icewines, cocktails, and culinary specialties from a very special location – the Niagara Parks Power Station. The Discovery Pass Program is also back! Over the course of three weekends, from 11 am to 5 pm, snow-covered vines will be the backdrop to your winter experience! Each Discovery Pass includes six icewine and culinary experiences with over 20 participating wineries. Niagara’s favourite wineries will be participating in this year’s self-guided Discovery Pass Program. From 13th Street Winery’s icewine poutine paired with the Riesling Reserve Icewine, to De Simone Vineyards’ Thai chili chicken slider paired with their Vidal icewine, there is something for everyone.

Looking for something nice and cozy? You can also enjoy an authentic Canadian experience by sitting fireside at Peller Estates Winery & Restaurant’s Winter Wine Garden or bundle up with blankets at the Riverbend Inn & Vineyard for their Oaklands Firepit Experience. At the Peller Estates Winter Wine Garden, up to five guests can settle in around a fire pit and enjoy a glass of wine or signature beverage in a souvenir glass or mug and an Icewine marshmallow handmade by Chef Jason Parsons. Reservations are required in advance and bookings are open Friday through Sunday starting at 11:00 am.

At Riverbend Inn, enjoy a glass of wine or a warm Firepit Feature Beverage served in a souvenir stemless glass or mug, served alongside a grilled cheese with red-wine caramelized onions and a Wine Country S’mores bundle by Chef Ross Midgley. Bookings are available Friday through Sunday starting at 11:30 am.
