Canada Day is here! There are tons of fun activities and events going on around the Region. It’s the perfect opportunity to check out the restaurant you’ve been wanting to try, or relax among the vineyards with a glass of wine from one of our award-winning wineries. Visit one of St. Catharines’ many local beaches for a walk along the pier or satisfy your adventure bug at any of the great attractions in Niagara Falls. However you choose to spend the long weekend, we’ve got you covered with what’s happening in Niagara.

Lincoln

Charles Daley Park from 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM

The annual Canada Day celebration is back at Charles Daley Park. There will be great activities including live music and entertainment, food vendors, face-painting, and a Mad Science show. Shuttles are available between Town Hall to Charles Daley Park between 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

Niagara Falls

Firemen’s Park from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Join the party at Firemen’s Park! This free event by the City of Niagra Falls will have live music and local entertainment, interactive kids’ shows, activities for families of all ages, food, inflatables, and lots of vendors to shop from. Featuring lots of Canadian activities like a synthetic ice rink (skates and sleds available to borrow), axe-throwing, photo ops with the giant Lego Canada sign, an inflatable beaver, and a maple leaf mascot! The City of Niagara Falls has a shuttle service available around Niagara Falls and pick-up points include the MacBain Community Centre, Canadian Drive bus depot, Gale Centre, City Hall, and Club Italia.

Port Colborne

H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

The Optimist Club presents Canada Day in the Park. The entire day will be filled with fun and features a line-up of entertainment, kid-friendly activities, vendors, and more. There will be lots of craft stalls to browse, a giant penny sale, snow cones, and performances by Ann Singer’s Rising Stars and the Highland Dancers.

St. Catharines

Lakeside Park, Port Dalhousie from 12:30 PM – 9:30 pm

The City of St. Catharines presents a free day filled with performances by the Born Ruffians, The Darcys, JIN, and more! Not only will there be great music, but there will also be lots of family activities, a kid’s zone, and food trucks. Craft beverages will also be available.

Thorold

Battle of Beaverdams Park

July 1 from 12:00 PM – 10:15 PM and July 2 from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM

This two-day Canada Day celebration also includes the Rock ‘N Blues on the Battlefield event! Both events are free to the public and feature live bands, entertainment, food trucks, and a beer tent.

Welland

Merritt Park from 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Enjoy an aerial show by Femme du Feu Creations, rock climbing, lawn games, and more at Merritt Park. Be sure to check out the downtown area as well for food trucks, community vendors, a fire truck showcase, and a Hockey Zone hosted by Welland Minor Hockey as well as sledge hockey hosted by ParaSport Ontario. Starting at 6:30 PM, there will be live music from JIN, Kia Emmanuel and LMT.
